Read the rules, upload your images and enter an unlimited number of entries into the online digital competition for just $30 per entry.
Your entry will be anonymously scored by 5 experienced judges and eligible to receive a silver, silver distinction, gold, gold distinction, or platinum award.
Your top 4 scoring entries will contribute to your Icon Honors of Excellence designation and accreditation points.
Critiques may be purchased as an add-on for just $15 per entry.
Each category's top ten scoring entries will be invited to enter the Icon International Print of the Year Awards. There is a flat rate of $50 per entry to participate in the annual print awards.
The print judging will be an in-person event at the WPPI convention and we will also broadcast it live online on March 3 and 4.
Awarded prints will be displayed in a gallery on the WPPI tradeshow floor on March 5-7, 2024.
A selection of images that score 79 or below in the online competition will be anonymously critiqued at the Icon Awards booth on the WPPI tradeshow floor and we will also broadcast it live online.
Trophies will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and Grand Award winners and presented at the Icon Awards Night Gala (at a Las Vegas location to be announced) on March 5, 2024. We will also broadcast the Awards Night live online.
All entries that score 80 or above in the online competition will then be published in a book available for purchase.
Icon Honors of Excellence + Accreditation
The program's primary goal is to encourage excellence, educate photographers, and motivate them to be constantly committed to their craft by entering the competition and to be recognized by their peers for their achievements.
Your top 4 scoring entries from the online digital competition will contribute to your Icon Honors of Excellence designation and accreditation points.
Former WPPI entrants:
The Icon Awards will match your former WPPI Honors of Excellence designation and accreditation points.
Entrants from countries and states that were not eligible to enter in previous years will have one year to catch up on points that contribute to their Honors of Excellence designation. If you were ineligible to enter or receive points towards your accreditation during 2020, 2021, or 2022, your top 12 scoring entries (instead of just your top 4) from the 2023 digital competition will contribute to your Honors of Excellence points .
